How to safeguard our personal and financial data?
Hacker, a bunch of “IT Professional” who always trying their best to break into computers to stole people personal information and financial data. Usually, those PROFESSIONAL hacks into others computers by gaining access to administrative controls. Therefore, we must know how to safeguard our personal details and financial data and prevent from misuse by others.
Here are some of the useful methods in preventing personal and financial information to be stolen or revealed are as follow:
1) Select your PIN or PASSWORD wisely. We are advised that do not set a password by using your hand phone number, birthday date, or IC number. A combination of capital letter, symbol and number will offer you more security.
2) Review monthly payment statement. We should check our billing statement to make sure there are suspicious transaction or fraudulent purchase,
3) Anti-virus and anti-spyware. Please do install powerful anti-virus and anti-spyware program to your personal computer and do UPDATE it!
4) Do not access financial information in public. We should avoid accessing financial information when we are using WI-FI service in public. Please logging in and out when you access to your data while using the internet.
5) Avoid clicking pop-up and downloading file from unknown website.
